Vicks

Brief: Vicks wants a new look and feel, create a fully integrated campaign to reignite the Vicks brand and make people aware of its primary function, try to incorporate the use of social media into the campaign.

Solution: I developed a campaign with a message to 'free your nose' allowing it to breath freely and be instead of blocked up and miserable. I sketched down the initial ideas of how the campaign could work in print, and I also developed an online idea for the campaign, where people would receive a free 'nose' with every product, which they can then 'set free'. They can do this by taking a picture of their nose being 'set free' with their camera or smartphone in a ideal location, then upload the images to www.vickspicks.co.uk with a chance to win some freedom for their own nose on a holiday.

Vicks 'Noses' are given away with promotional
packs, people can then free nose, in fresh open places.

People can then use their camera phone to take a picture
of their 'free nose' and upload it to Vickspicks.co.uk
for a chance to win some amazing holidays to free
their own nose.

People can upload images to www.vickspicks.co.uk, which links to Facebook and Twitter.
The most popular images have a chance to win a holidays to relaxing destinations.

Skype

Brief: Create a print campaign to highlight the benefits of Skype as a medium to make free international calls.

Solution: I kept the tone of voice very playful and welcoming. Using clean simple graphics to show   people communicating internationally. With the simple message of "freedom of speech, worldwide".
I also developed an idea for an ambient poster, which contained a webcam and a live Skype link to another ambient poster in another country, allowing people to see and interact with each other live, through Skype.

Ambient Poster. The poster shell would contain a webcam and
screen and have a live link to another country, so that people from different
countries could interact with one another live via skype.

Guardian Zeitgeist

Brief: Create a print campaign to launch The Guardian's new online Zeitgeist program as a way of reading the news. The Zeitgeist selects the most read stories of the day from The Guardian's website, and organises and colour codes them into an easy read online application. People can casually scan through to a find a story that interests them.

Solution: I wanted to reflect the usage and purpose of the Zeitgeist in the campaign, whilst also maintaining a sense of mystery to interest people into what it was. Using the same colours from microsite, I designed a series of images that reflected the senses and thoughts of a human interacting with the Zeitgeist.

E4 Monday Night Movies

Brief: Create a print and viral campaign to launch E4's new monday night movies.

Solution: I decided to take this brief with no seriousness at all, much like E4's tone of voice. I decided it would be amusing to recreate famous film scenes with toys, and cardboard props but at the same time keeping all the tension and drama of the scene. Follow the links to view the videos.

Hertz Connect

Brief: Hertz have launched a new car sharing business named "Hertz Connect" People living in the city can book a car and pick it up locally, meaning you don't have to pay a lot of money to own a car and pay for parking and insurance yourself. Hertz want a print campaign to launch this new scheme starting in London.

Solution: I decided to look at the down points of living in the inner city and how this new scheme could help you escape with ease. Playing on the of hectic London Underground, I devised a simple print campaign "to get the system out of your system"

An ambient piece for Hertz. Encouraging people to follow
a new line out of the underground to a new open space.
Getting the system out of your system.

Skype Direct Mail

Brief: Create a direct mail to show how using Skype is better than a phone.

Solution: I decided to focus on the main advantage Skype has over using a phone, which is that you can make free international calls to other Skype users. I designed a fake Skype bill which would be posted to potential Skype customers, which listed hundreds of international calls to different countries. As you get to the bottom of the huge bill you realise there is no cost to all of it and it is all completely free.

Skype bill arrives in post.

Recipient is met with huge bill of international calls

Relief as the bill subtotal reads zero, as international calls
to other Skype users are totally free. Skype, Take A Deep Breath
